Most helpful testimonials:

These may be the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever worn. They were recommended by my podiatrist. I am currently being treated for a mild case of plantar fascitis.

I’ve been wearing these for a week now and have been happy. There is a little bit of a break in period but nothing too bad. For my particular foot issue (neuroma) they have been wonderful and haven’t aggravated it at all.

I have arthritis in both my feet (the middle joint bones) and these were recommended by a friend. Well I haven’t taken them off since I got them! They are outstanding.

I have had multiple foot surgeries years ago and most recently have developed a heel spur for the last 8 months. I had a trip coming up to Belize and was very concerned how I could manage walking comfortably in beach attire. I researched and found these shoes, not only were they fantastic, but for the first time in the last 8 months I felt almost no pain.

Our Experience with OOFOS Ooriginal

After 12 months of using the OOFOS Ooriginal sandal for walking around the house and (occassionally) around town, our tester reported that it still has the same support as when she first wore it. Our tester used it on various surfaces, including slippery floors, and felt secure walking on it. The sandal’s outsole didn’t skid on wet surfaces, so she felt confident wearing it more than her old Crocs Classic Clog (even though they have similar material), which tends to slip underneath when the floor is wet and when its outsole starts to wear.

Furthermore, our tester also indicated that she used the Ooriginal sandal for standing for longer periods. And she appreciated very much the soft footbed and the support it gave. The sandal didn’t allow her lower limb to tire quickly even after a considerable longer period of standing.

Who Should Wear OOFOS Ooriginal?

If you are an athlete who has a tough training routine and you want to recover as quickly as possible, the OOFOS Ooriginal is a sandal you can rely on. But it’s not only an excellent recovery sandal for athletes and those who workout in the gym, it is also suitable for people who are looking for support and comfort in an open-type footwear.

The OOFOS Ooriginal sandal has an excellent arch support and it’s ideal for people with overproantion and flat feet, as well as those who need arch support for stability and balance. But the OOfoam footbed of the Ooriginal is flexible enough to give support to the foot that is less flexible, like the foot of those who supinate. It has the APMA Seal of Acceptance and can promote good foot health even for people who have postural deformities.

Who Should Not Buy OOFOS Ooriginal?

The OOFOS Ooriginal sandal is only $50 but if you are young and has the perfect biomechanics of the foot, you might not find this sandal stylish. And there are cheaper sandals from popular brands that can give similar support. Although there are other models of OOFOS sandals that are more stylish than the Ooriginal.

Final Thoughts

The OOFOS OOriginal is a recovery sandal designed to soothe and reinvigorate your feet after a tough workout. It has the APMA Seal of Acceptance, which means it went to a series of tests and found to be promoting good foot health. This sandal has an exceptional quality knowing that our tester still uses it at the time of this writing.
